Deviated Routes

Deviated Fixed Routes are open to the general public and person(s) with and without disabilities.

DEVIATIONS: These routes keep a set timetable; the buses can provide two deviations per run up to ¾ mile off the route to specific location for curb to curb service. Deviations cost $1.00 one way.

IMPORTANT: 24hr. Notice is required to make a reservation. Deviations must be scheduled

before 2:30 p.m., the day before. Due to limited space, trips will be scheduled on a first come first serve basis. The maximum advanced time allowed to make reservations is one week. For Reservations Call (502) 875-8565

Demand Response

Demand Response operates in the city limits of Frankfort, providing one way, curb to curb service, depending on the needs of the passengers and if there is not an accessible deviated fixed route.

Monday through Friday 5:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Saturday 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Learn More....

Job Access/Reverse Commute (JARC)

Job Access/Reverse Commute (JARC) is another demand response service that addresses the unique transportation challenges faced by welfare recipients and low-income persons seeking to get and keep jobs. The program is intended to make transportation to and from employment more accessible but, not limited to low income or job related. This service is available from 5:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and Saturday 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This service requires a 24 hour notice; reservations must be scheduled by 2:30p.m. the day before the requested pick-up. All trips will be scheduled on a first come basis; job related passengers have priority scheduling. The fare for this service is $1.00 each way within the City limits.

In an effort to create safe, accessible, and passenger-friendly pick-up and drop-off locations on Frankfort Transit Deviated Fixed-Routes, Frankfort Transit is transitioning from a flag stop system to designated bus stops.

What is a designated stop system?  A designated bus stop system has predetermined locations on a route where Frankfort Transit buses can safely pick-up and drop-off passengers. These locations will be marked by a Frankfort Transit bus stop sign (see above), and may possibly include a bench or a shelter. Bus stop signs in Frankfort give the bus routes a physical presence and help passengers and the community identifies the routes and locations where the bus stops. For More Information Call 875-8565

For additional information needed, call the Transit Division at (502) 875-8565 or TDD (502) 875-8582 and we will be glad to help you in any way we can.
