Frankfort Transit is a public service operated by the City of Frankfort. Frankfort Transit provides several services, Seasonal Downtown Trolley Route, Three Deviated-Fixed Routes, On Demand and a Saturday Route. Our drivers are trained to assist passengers with disabilities.

EFFECTIVE JANUARY 02, 2015

In an effort to create safe, accessible, and passenger-friendly pick-up and drop-off locations on Frankfort Transit Deviated Fixed-Routes, Frankfort Transit is transitioning from a flag stop system to designated bus stops.

What is a designated stop system?  A designated bus stop system has predetermined locations on a route where Frankfort Transit buses can safely pick-up and drop-off passengers. These locations will be marked by a Frankfort Transit bus stop sign (see above), and may possibly include a bench or a shelter. Bus stop signs in Frankfort give the bus routes a physical presence and help passengers and the community identifies the routes and locations where the bus stops. For More Information Call 875-8565

The Frankfort Transit System provides three deviated-fixed routes in which buses will stop at designated bus stops and shelters.

Bus service runs from:
Mon. - Fri.
6:45 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.,

Saturday Route
9:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

These routes provide full coverage of all major shopping centers, doctor offices, hospital, senior citizen complex and most state office buildings.

A printed schedule is available at City Hall or upon request from a route bus driver.
