KSU students and staff can ride free on the Transit Fixed Routes, Valid Picture ID's must be shown to ride everytime you board the bus, Please have ID in hand before bus arrives. NO ID, then you must pay to ride no exceptions. This is a privilege and can be revoked on an individual basis if abused.

Welcome to Frankfort Transit

 The Frankfort Transit System provides three deviated-fixed routes. This service runs from 6:45 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday and Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. These routes provide full coverage of all major shopping centers, doctor's offices, hospital, senior citizen's complex and most state office buildings. A printed schedule is available upon request from a route driver. Fares for this service are 50 cents each way for passengers 13 - 54, Free for children 12 and under, Senior Citizens 55 and up 25 cents each way with one free transfer per run.

  Deviations - These routes keep a set timetable; the buses can do two deviations per run up to ¾ of a mile off the route to a specific location for curb to curb service. Deviations require a 24 hour notice; reservations must be scheduled by 2:30p.m. the day before the requested pick-up.. All trips will be scheduled on a first come basis.  Job Access/Reverse Commute (JARC) is another demand response service that addresses the unique transportation challenges faced by welfare recipients and low-income persons seeking to get and keep jobs. The program is intended to make transportation to and from employment more accessible but, not limited to low income or job related.  This service is available from 5:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  This service requires a 24 hour notice; reservations must be scheduled by 2:30p.m. the day before the requested pick-up. All trips will be scheduled on a first come basis; job related passengers have priority scheduling. To learn more about this service, please click on "Other Bus Services" on the menu.

 New Freedom is a door to door demand response service for citizens with disabilities. The fare for this service is $1.00 each way within the City limits, Monday through Friday from 6:45 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. this service requires a 24 hour notice; reservations must be scheduled by 2:30p.m. the day before the requested pick-up. All trips will be scheduled on a first come basis; passengers with disabilities have priority scheduling. To learn more about this service, please click on "Other Bus Services" on the menu.
